Adia, Mars Area High School Class of 2017 | Jerry's Records, Squirrel Hill | Pittsburgh Senior P

I distinctly remember when I met Adia at youth group. When all the other kids were acting goofy, staring at their phones or gossiping amongst each other, Adia was the quiet, thoughtful girl patiently waiting for group to start. That's when I knew she was special and not like everyone else. So of course I liked her right away!

Later on I came to find out her love and passion for art was something we had in common too! I hoped one day she would pick me to do her senior pics! So when she actually did contact me to do her session I knew we'd end up doing something really cool and different! When her original idea to have the shoot at the Mattress Factory Museum fell through we decided on the next best thing...JERRY'S RECORDS! Another thing we shared a love for, vinyls, music and just discovering new sounds! Jerry's is well known for their wide selection of vinyls spanning decades covering countless genres of music. The atmosphere there is ripe with all the scenes, scents and sounds of 1970's, you can't help but feel like you've just been transported back in time!

I think we managed to keep Adia's session current with an old school twist. This young lady has an old soul, an appreciation for the past and ambition to make a great impact on her future and those whose paths she will cross. I will remember Adia's session as one that really didn't feel like work at all for me. We just hung out, enjoyed sifting through old vinyls at Jerry's and walking around town! We even ended the session at the Squirrel Hill Night Mart where we enjoyed fabulous homemade popsicles. Perfect way to spend a later summer evening!
